How to Tan Your Hands & Feet

How to Tan Your Hands & Feet

We’ve all been there. A flawless glow everywhere… except your hands and feet. These are the giveaway areas, but with the right approach, they’re also the easiest to get right. Think less product, more blending, and a skin-first touch.

Here’s your foolproof guide to seamless hands and feet, the Luna Bronze way.

Step 1: Prep your canvas
24 hours before tanning, gently exfoliate hands and feet to remove dry skin and create a smooth base.

Soft, hydrated skin = a more even, natural-looking glow.

Step 2: Hydrate strategically
Before applying tan, lightly moisturise hands, feet, ankles and wrists using your favourite lotion or Glow Gradual Tanning Moisturiser. These areas tend to be drier, so this step helps soften the skin and keeps your result smooth and believable.

Step 3: Apply to your body first
Apply your tan to the rest of your body as usual. If you’re using your hands (no mitt), be sure to wash your palms thoroughly with warm, soapy water once you’re done. This keeps your palms fresh and prevents over-development.

Step 4: Use what’s left (trust us)
Using only leftover product on your hands or mitt, lightly sweep over:

  • Hands
  • Wrists
  • Feet
  • Ankles

No extra product needed, this is the key to a soft, believable finish.

For extra control, use our Contour Blending Brush to buff and blend.

Step 5: Blend the details
Take your time around knuckles, fingers, toes and ankles. Keep it light, keep it blended. This is where a seamless glow really comes to life.

Step 6: Clean up, softly
Gently wipe over palms, soles, nails and cuticles to remove any excess product. We’re all about a natural-looking bronze, never overdone.

Step 7: Maintain your glow
Keep hands and feet hydrated daily to support an even fade and longer-lasting glow.

Skin-first always. Your tan will thank you for it.
